Jack Kearns

A builder and forestry worker, born in London to an English mother and Irish father, Jack was reared singing along to Luke Kelly tracks, and grew to be known as a pub ballad singer. It was then at the age of 33 that he started writing his own music, after the loss of his remaining parent and the near loss of his hand to a machine at work.

Jack has since become known for his potent, personal song writing, and his emotionally powerful live performances, which have the ability to move audiences from joyous laughter to tears and back again. Jack is based in the UK, performing solo and with a band, including Alastair Caplin, Kai Carter, Joseph Trudgeon, Joplin Parnell and Michael Metcalf. Jack has also collaborated with notable folk musicians Tamsin Elliott and Tom Thurgate respectively on two Singles.
